The Matterhorn Chalet is our premiere vacation rental cottage.  Enjoy the privacy in this quiet treetop location. You and your guests can relax in this tastefully decorated and well appointed hideaway. A gas log fireplace, large picture windows, and a 52" flat screen TV are only some of the luxuries you'll find in your home away from home. Floors in the main living area are hardwood while bedrooms have Berber carpet. Beds in bedrooms are one king and one queen bed with luxurious bedding. There are two full bathrooms both with tub and shower.

Read a book, bird watch or gaze at the Blue Ridge Mountains from the front porch. The quiet neighborhood is great for strolling or aerobic walks.  Our cottages offer every convenience of home…all you need to make your stay comfortable in your home away from home. Hi-Speed Wireless Internet, Cable TV in the living room and bedrooms, a full service kitchen including refrigerator with ice maker, four-burner stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave, cookware, and service for eight. In It you will find everything you need to prepare any meal - from simple to elegant. The dining table comfortably seats six. All linens and towels are provided. Amenities

We provide a fully equipped vacation rental. Local Phone, wireless internet, heat and air conditioning, gas log fireplace, ceiling fans throughout, cable TV in living room and bedrooms, with a 52" flat screen TV in the living room, DVD and DVD Library, stereo with CD player and our newest addition an Ipod docking station.

A fully equipped kitchen includes microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, full complement of herbs, spices, and condiments, coffee beans and teas. You will find pots, pans, dishes, utensils, paper products and light cleaning supplies.  We have provided luxury bath towels, wash cloths and linens (the same as The Grove Park Inn!), soap products, shampoo, and conditioner.  You will also find a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, tool kit, first aid kit, and Games.  A laundry facility is available on the property which includes laundry supplies.  Unless specified, other amenities are not provided.

A Guest book complete with maps and information on local restaurants, attractions, and shopping is available for your visit. 

A special treat for our guests - fresh baked cookies from Judy's Well-Bred Bakery and Cafe and a $10 gift certificate.

Outdoor Amenities - Gas grill and covered front porch with 2 rocking chairs, dog walking area.

Proximity to two lovely off-leash dog parks was a deciding factor to staying at Swiss Chalets and we were happily surprised by management's warm welcome and attention to our comfort. All needs were taken care of before we even arrived, including dog dish, towels to dry them off in case of rain, and a wrap-around enclosed deck on our chalet, The Matterhorn, so they could sit outside and share the magnificent views of the Great Smokey Mountains, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and downtown Asheville.
Rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, even supplying clean white blankets to put over the couches so your dog can sit with you and watch flat-screen TV.
Free laundry supplies were an unexpected gift, as were fresh coffee beans (regular and decaf), fresh-baked gigantic cookies, condiments, board games, a book containing suggestions of where to eat (try Carmel's and you'll be very happy), where to go (try Well-Bred Bakery in nearby Weaversville, with great salads), Biltmore House, hiking trails, the Blue Ridge Parkway -- all within a few minutes of Asheville Swiss Chalets.
Or you could just stay in your chalet and read the books on their shelves or watch DVDs other happy patrons have left for you to enjoy. And no, I'm not related to the owners. I just love the place.  Maggie
