From I-26 (S. Carolina) or the Asheville Airport

Coming out of the Airport turn left onto New Airport Rd. & follow signs for I-26W to Asheville. As I-26W approaches Asheville, there is a split where Hwy 40 intersects 26 with right & left exits for 40. Follow signs for I-26 W & I-240 E into Asheville. Hwy 19/23 also joins with 240. Hwy 26 and 240 are merged for 1.5 - 2 mi until you reach the 4 lane bridge across the French Broad River where 26 W & 19/23 will exit to the left. On the bridge stay in one of the 2 left lanes which take you through Asheville on 240 to Exit 6, Chunns Cove Rd, & Tunnel Rd.

At the exit ramp light turn right on Tunnel Rd, and go about ¼ mile to Old Chunns Cove Rd (different from Chunns Cove Rd). You will be driving through 2 traffic lights and pass a large Ingles Supermarket and gas station on the left at the 2nd light. Just past the 2nd light turn right on Old Chunns Cove Rd. (There is a bus station on the corner.) It’s about 8/10 of a mile from here to the chalets.

From I-26/ 19/23 N (Johnson City, TN)

Approaching Asheville from the N, Take the I-240 E exit on the LEFT toward I-40 E, Merge onto I-240 E, Take 240 to Exit 6, Chunns Cove Rd, Tunnel Rd.

At the exit ramp light turn right on Tunnel Rd, and go about ¼ mile to Old Chunns Cove Rd. You will be driving through 2 traffic lights and pass a large Ingles Supermarket and gas station on the left at the 2nd light. Just past the 2nd light turn right on Old Chunns Cove Rd. (There is a bus station on the corner.) It’s about 8/10 of a mile from here to the chalets.

From I-40 (Eastern NC)

Look for I-240 W. Take 240 to Exit 6, (on the left) Chunns Cove Rd, Tunnel Road. Make a left at the stop sign and proceed to the next light (Tunnel Road).

From I-40 E (Knoxville, TN)

Take exit 46B (Asheville, 240, W I26) This bring you into Asheville on 240, When the road forks, bear right onto (19/23N, 240E, W26). Stay in middle lane across bridge. Take exit 6, Chunns Cove Rd., Tunnel Rd. This is an exit ramp to the right that stops at a traffic light.
