Upper Berne Chalet

Description

The Berne is a duplex chalet which has an upper level and a lower level.  It can be rented separately or together for a larger group.

The Upper Berne Chalet is the only chalet that is NOT pet friendly, because it is fully carpeted.  So for our guests with pet allergies, this is the place for you.  For a group renting the whole chalet, please note that the lower level is pet friendly so if there is a pet in your group, they would have to stay in the lower unit.  Since this is the upper level of a duplex and is not suitable for children, we suggest families with young members consider one of our other cottages.

The Upper Berne is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin, tastefully decorated, with wonderful winter views, some summer views and is nestled in the trees so that you feel you are surrounded by nature, living in a tree house!  There are 2 wonderful outdoor spaces, the large entry porch with couch, table and chairs and a grill and a small deck off of the dining room.  The kitchen and bath are tiled, while the rest of the chalet is a plush carpet.  The master bedroom has a King bed, the 2nd bedroom a queen.  Both are a new Garden Sleep System by Natural Form, used in top hospitals to provide pressure-free sleep.  All linens are plush and luxurious.  The living room has a 52" flat screen TV! This chalet is luxury at it's finest!

You will experience every convenience of home … all you need to make your stay comfortable in your home away from home: Hi-Speed Wireless Internet, Cable TV in the living room and bedroom, a full service kitchen including refrigerator, stove with oven, microwave, cookware, and service for 8. Our prime location boasts a private, woodland setting yet brings you to downtown Asheville in just 3 minutes. Asheville is one of the country's most sought-after vacation destinations with an incredible array of antique stores, art galleries, and unique shops and restaurants.

The Upper Berne cabin is not for pets, but all of the rest of our chalets are pet-friendly, so if you are traveling with your pet, please check out our other cabins.

Amenities

Wireless internet, heat and air conditioning, cable TV in living room and bedrooms, DVD player, Ipod docking station with radio.  The fully equipped kitchen includes toaster, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, blender, full complement of herbs, spices and condiments as well as regular and decaf coffee beans and teas. Iron and ironing board, luxury bath towels and linens, all paper products, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer; tool kit, First aid kit, and Games. Washer and dryer are available on the property. A Guest book complete with maps and information on local restaurants, attractions, and shopping for your added convenience.

A special treat for our guests - fresh baked cookies from Judy's Well-Bred Bakery and Cafe and a $10 gift certificate.

Outdoor Amenities - Entry porch with table and 4 chairs and a couch, dining room deck with 2 chairs and table.

We loved staying here.  You thought of so many wonderful little touches - Ziploc bags, nightlights, coffee, a sewing kit, a candle in the bedroom, laundry detergent... The chalet was so comfortable and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in.  I haven't slept that well in years!  We really loved staying here.  It was like staying in a tree house and the location was fantastic!  we'll definitely be back!
